About the Event
Barrow Way Walk.
This beautiful riverside trail takes you along the Barrow. It's an easy-going route that is suitable for most abilities, so a wonderful opportunity to get outdoors. There are lovely restaurants and cafes along the way if you wish to stop for refreshments. There is also plenty of wildlife here so keep an eye out!

Meet: at café Mullichain in St Mullins Co. Carlow @ 10:30
Walk Starts @ 11:00am Sharp.
Start & Finish: @ St Mullins Co. Carlow
Distance 16km. 4-4.5 hours.
- Refreshments
- St Mullins: Mullichain coffee dock, 10am-11am.
- Graiguenamanagh : Duiske Inn. Planned break at half way point
This is a loop walk, Starting and Finishing in St. Mullins.
Walk Directions: St. Mullins to Graiguenamanagh Return.
Conditions : Level riverside path, can be wet and muddy.
Don’t Miss : Short talk by St Mullins volunteer on history of St Mullins monastic site.
Difficulty: Moderate, muddy in places.
Gear: Rain gear & hiking boots/shoes, Snack & a drink.
Driving/Travel Directions :
From Dublin : M9 Exit 6, R448 to Bagenalstown, R705/R702 thru Borris, R729 to Glynn village,
L3010 minor road to St. Mullins
From Wicklow : M11/N30 towards New Ross : take R729 to Glynn village, L3010 minor road to St Mullins.
From Waterford/Wexford : N25 to New Ross : take R729 to Glynn village, L3010 minor road to St Mullins
Parking area beside riverside café Mullichain.
