Walk in the Parks, Shankill.

Meet: in the Car Park of Brady's Pub in Shankill Co. Dublin @ 10:30- 10:45

Walk Starts @ 11:00am Sharp. 

Finish: @ Brady's Pub in Shankill Co. Dublin

Distance 12km. 3.5 - 4 hours. The route will initially follow the Dublin Mountains Way and pass through a number of parks and open spaces in the Shankill/Cabinteely area including Rathmichael Woods, Ticknick and Tully Parks (part of the Cherrywood development), Cabinteely Park, and Kilbogget Park before returning to Shankill.

• In general, the route will be on country lanes and footpaths and with some roughish paths through Rathmichael Woods.  The route may be varied depending on weather conditions.
• Refreshments and toilet facilities will be limited on route with options in Shankill and Cabinteely villages, as well as Cabinteely Park.
• Note: This is  a loop walk, Starting and Finishing in Shankill. 

Difficulty: Moderate, muddy in places.  

Gear: Rain gear & hiking boots/shoes, Snack & a drink. Walking poles are not essential but could be useful.

No.145. Hueston Station to Shankill via City Centre every 15 mins.  

No.155. IKEA to Shankill via City Centre every 20 mins.  

No.45A. Blackrock-Kilmacanogue.   

No. 84.  Dun Laoghaire-Newcastle (Wicklow)

1 hour to Shankill from City Centre. 

All Buses stop at Brady's.

• Some car parking is available in Brady's car park but will a charge of €3 will apply, unless a code is obtained by buying something.
• Car parking in Shankill is limited but the shopping centre (Lidl) is a possibility.
